The Latest: Trump’s tax returns are ‘not complete’
The Latest on President Donald Trump’s $1.5 trillion tax bill and President Donald J. Trump’s response to questions from reporters in the Roosevelt Room of the White House article President Donald Trumps tax returns have not been completed and he may not have enough information to pass judgment on them, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Wednesday.
During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Sanders said Trump did not want to make the tax returns public and they were not complete.
“You know, he did not make the decisions that he did on that,” she said.
“He did not do that on purpose, and he has not done that.
So, I think that’s really important to know.”
Sanders said Trump’s team would make the information public as soon as possible, but she added that the president does not want the public to know his tax returns because he thinks that would cause him to lose votes in the Senate and Congress.
“It is really important for the president to know that we have his tax return.
We are going to make sure that it is complete,” she added.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Politico.
